3U VPX Software Defined Radios (RUX) and RF Front Ends (RFX)

The NewEdge Signal Solutions 3U VPX Software Defined Radios (SDR) and RF Front Ends (RFFE), are designed to meet VITA 48.2 Conduction Cooled (CC) 1.0” and VITA 48.8 Air Flow Through (AFT) 1.5” module slot form factors for use in rugged, deployed environments.

RUX and RFX may be used as a pair to form an ORAN Split 7.2 RU and thereby enable high power 4T4R 5G MIMO operation.

The RUX SDRs are based around an Analog Devices transceiver and Intel chipset providing 5G 3GPP compliant communications.

RUX SDRs include built-in CFR and DPD, with configurable UART communications for support of RFX modules in either the same chassis or elsewhere remote from the chassis.

The RUX SDRs cover the 5G TDD bands n77, n78 and n79.

Communication with the DU is via eCPRI data links.

All modules are Two Level Maintenance compliant designs.
